Sweet Granny Crochet Baby Blankets

Beginner-friendly crochet pattern with helpful videos,

This pattern looks beautiful, The squares are joined with a simple single crochet.

I’m using 3.50 hook size, and cotton yarn

Foundation: start with magic ring

Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as dc) + 23 double crochets, in the magic ring close with slip stitch

Round 2: *Chain 3, skip 2, (1 dc + 3 ch + 1 dc) in the next stitch (in the same place), chain 3, skip 2, 1 double crochet in the next stitch of the previous round,*

Repeat around, close with slip stitch.

Round 3: Chain , 1 triple crochet (tr) in the same place, *chain 2 , in the chain 3 space between 2 double crochets, work (5 tr + 3 ch + 5 tr), 2 chain, in the dc of round 2 work (2 tr + 3 ch + 2 tr)*

Repeat, close with slip stitch.

Round 4: slip st in the 3 ch space of R3, 7 chain, 1 triple crochet (tr) in the same place, *3 chain, in the 5 next dc of R3 work (5 tr all together), 3 chain, in the next chain 3 space work (5 tr + 3 ch + 5 tr), 3 chain, in the 5 next dc of R3 work (5 tr all together), 3 chain, in the 3 ch space of round 3 work (2 tr + 3 ch + 2 tr)*

Repeat, close with slip stitch.

Round 5: slip st in the 3 ch space of R4, (8 chain, 1 tr + 3 ch + 1 tr + 3 ch + 1 tr) in the same place, *3 chain, in the 5 next dc of R4 work (5 tr all together), 3 chain, in the next chain 3 space work (5 tr + 3 ch + 5 tr), 3 chain, in the 5 next dc of R4 work (5 tr all together), 3 chain, in the 3 ch space between 2tr of round 4 work ( 1 tr + 3 ch + 1 tr + 3 ch + 1 tr + 3 ch + 1 tr)*

Repeat from * to * join with slip stitch
