This article show how to crochet Moroccan hearts stitch using Two colors. Very easy stitch let you design and make many beautiful kinds of stuff like blankets, scarfs and hats
Abbreviations:
Ch=chain
Sc= single crochet
dc=double crochet
Sl st= slip stitch
I’m using 3.50 mm hook size
Foundation: chain multiple of 6 + 1 ch with color A
Row 1: Join color B, work 3 double crochets in the 4th chain from the base, chain 3 , skip 5 chains from the base, work 5 double crochets in the next chain from the base, continue the pattern until leaving 6 chains from the base, chain 3, skip 5 chains from the base, 3 double crochets in the last chain from the base.
Row 2: With color A. chain 3, 1 slip stitch in the first double crochet from the previous row, chain 1, 1 single crochet in the same double crochet as slip stitch, chain 2 , skip 1 ch from the base, 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain from the base, chain 1 , skip 1 chain from the base, 1 double crochet in the next chain, chain 2, 1 sc in the central double crochet in the group of (5 dc). Continue the pattern until reach last group of double crochet and work 1 single crochet in the 3rd and last (dc) of that group.
Change color and start with a slip knot.
Row 3: 1 sl stitch in single crochet from Row 2, 1 chain, 1 single crochet, 1 chain, *skip 2 arches of 2 chains from Row 2, 5 double crochet, 3 chains* repeat from * to *. 3 times, skip 2 arches of 2 chains from Row 2, 5 dc, 1 chain, 1 single crochet in 1 single crochet from Row 2.
Change the color,
Row 4: Chain 3, Make 1 dc in the arch of chain 2 from Row 2, *chain 2, 1 single crochet in the central double crochet of the group of (5 dc) from Row 3, 2 chains, (1 dc) in the arch of 3 chains from Row 2, 1 chain, 1 double crochet in the next arch of 2 chains from Row 2*
Repeat from * to * 1 dc in (1 dc) from Row 3.
