Learn how to crochet the Honeycomb Stitch, It’s easy to work.
Stitch Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
SC = Single crochet
St = Stitch
Fpsc = Front Post Single Crochet
Lsc= Long Single Crochet
I’m using 5.50 mm hook size
Foundation: Chain multiple of 2
Row 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook, single crochet in each of the remaining stitches.
Chain 1, and turn the work.
Row 2: 1 single crochet in every stitch, chain 1 and turn the work.
Row 3: 1 Single crochet, *1 Long Single Crochet in next stitch, 1 single crochet in next stitch*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row,
Chain 1 and turn the work
Row 4: 1 single crochet in the very first stitch, 1 sc in the next stitch , * 1 Front Post Single Crochet (fpsc) in next stitch , ignore the unworked stitch behind the fpsc, 1 single crochet in next stitch*, repeat from *to* + 1 single crochet in the last stitch, turn.
Row 5: Chain 1 + 1 single crochet in the very first stitch +1 Long Single Crochet (Lsc) under the very first st, ignore the unworked stitch behind the Lsc, * 1 single crochet in next + Long Single Crochet in next (when you insert the hook 2 rows below, it comes out inside the inverted V on the other side, between the 2 loops that touch at the top, the only exception is the last Lsc in the row) *, repeat from * until the end of the row, ch1, turn.
Row 6: Chain 1, sc in the first stitch, * 1 fpsc in next stitch, 1 single crochet in next st*, repeat until the end of the row.
