ALTERNATE PUFF STITCH TUTORIAL

The Alternate Puff Stitch pattern looks more complicated than it is. it’s sample worked up so quickly

This pattern uses only single crochet and the puff stitch. I will show you step-by-step how to work this

easy and beautiful stitch.

Foundation chain: multiple of 4 plus 2.

Row 1: In the second chain from hook, make single crochet.

Single crochet in every chain across. Turn the work. (Right Side)

Row 2: Chain 1, Single crochet in the same stitch, single crochet in the next 3 stitches.

To create the puff stitch, work the next 3 steps into the same stitch

So * Yarn over and insert your hook into the next stitch, Yarn over and draw back through the stitch. You have now three loops on your hook.

Yarn over and insert your hook back into the same stitch, Yarn over and draw back through the stitch. You have now 5 loops on your hook.

yarn over and insert your hook into the same stitch, Yarn over and draw back through the stitch. You have now 7 loops on your hook.

Yarn over and draw through all 7 loops on your hook. (You’ve created a puff stitch).

Single crochet in the next 3 stitches*.

Repeat from * to * across. Turn the work.

Row 3: In the second chain from the hook, make single crochet.

Single crochet in every chain across. Turn the work.

Row 4: Work puff stitch into next stitch, *single crochet into next three stitches, puff stitch in next stitch
