Abbreviations:
Ch : Chain
SC : Single crochet
DC : Double crochet
DC Spike : Double crochet spike
Ch sp : Chain space
Rep : Repeat
I’m using 4.50 mm Hook size
Start with slip knot and foundation chain of multiplies of 4 + 1
Row 1: Skip 3 chain, from the fourth loop make 3 double double crochets, 1 chain, skip 1,and *work 3 double crochets and 1 chain,
Repeat from * across
Row 2:
Chain 3, 2 double double crochets in the next stitches, skip 1, chain 1, * work 3 double crochets in the next stitches, chain one,
Repeat from * across
Row 3:
Chain 4 (counts as the first st), skip one, make double crochet in the next stitch, make Double crochet spike stitch, over these spaces, 1 double crochet, chain 1, repeat across,
Row 4:
Work *3 DC, chain 1, skip 1 stitch *across.
Row 5: Repeat row 3
